The tin lids covering the corks on bottles of Champagne or sparkling wine can be attractive pieces of commercial art and are quite collectable.
Even though they are meant to be disposable items, and tend to be thrown away once the bottle has been opened, the designs on each of the tin lids are attractive and can tell a little something of their place of origin. It is a shame not to keep these attractive pieces of mass produced art as souvenirs of the good times you have had with family and friends when the bottles are opened!
