FIRE BUG AT COOGEE? - February 2019 - There have been at least five fires in the same area recently at Dunningham Reserve, Coogee. Police say the fires appear to be suspicious. BUSH FIRE AT COOGEE - 5th February 2018 - I was standing on my back balcony and saw the smoke rising from down near the point at Gordons Bay, so I grabbed the camera and hot-footed down to the scene of the action to see what was happening. Some bushland on the side of the hill hanging down towards Gordons Bay was alight. After a few minutes, the thick white smoke turned into a large angry flame. The fire brigade arrived after a few minutes a and hosed the fire down and put it out leaving a blackened hill.
