Crowne Plaza Coogee - Fresh New Look

Shutters Bar at Coogee's Crowne Plaza

Coogee's Crowne Plaza Hotel on the corner of Carr and Arden Streets has been having a makeover. Its ground floor level has been covered in construction hoardings for some time. A brand new bar and restaurant area is now on the street level facing Arden Street. The redesigned main entrance foyer and Shutters is stunning. Shutters Bar on Level 1 It has been awhile since Coogee Media has visited the hotel's main bar area on level 1, and we were surprised how light and airy and attractive the Shutters Bar is - overlooking Coogee Beach, it just a perfect setting for lunch or dinner. The view is outstanding, it is a Hollywood setting (or Santa Monica setting where the famous Shuttlers on the beach hotel and restaraunt is located). Shutters Bar at Coogee's Crowne Plaza I know what you are thinking: we had some sort of inducement for the recommendation. But no; we went to Shutters independently and honestly thought it is a lovely place for a meal, a drink, or to have a meeting with someone. Oceanic Hotel History By the way, the Crowne Plaza was built on the old Oceanic hotel site, and you can read about the history of that hotel here
